Clovelly Beach
Concrete playground. Still perfect for swimming.
Clovelly is a unique, small beach in Sydney, where the area is mostly concrete instead of sand. Sure, memories of the beach may involve the feel of sandy feet, and the salty smell of the sea, but there are people that just don’t like sand. I wouldn’t blame them, because visiting here during the summer is still a great experience. Plus, it’s only 9.8km away from the Sydney CBD.
Public transport to Clovelly is very reasonable, with two bus routes accessible from Central or Bondi Junction. If coming from Central station, take Bus 339 (Central Station, Foveaux St, Stand F), one bus every 20 minutes. If coming from Bondi Junction, you can take Bus 360 (Bondi Junction Station, Stand J) with similar departure times.
